 Frequently Asked Questions

What are the rules...?

1. All games will be No Limit Texas Hold’Em style poker.

2. Players will receive $2000.00 in Tournament chips. Tournament chips have no cash value. (Starting chip count may vary depending on amount of players on the wait list, and is decided by the tournament director)

3. Front Range Poker will be playing a small/big Blind Format. The player to the Dealer button’s left will post a small blind. The player to the small blind players left will post the big blind to start the game. Players will be dealt their cards, if choosing to play they will match (or raise) the Blind in turn.

4. When “hole cards” are being dealt, players must physically in their seat when the second card is dealt to the button. If the player is not in their seat at that time, the hand will be dead.

6. Players will play until only one player remains at the table. The final player will be declared the winner.

7. If available, players will be able to sign up in advance at event location. All other players will be seated in a first come first served basis. When all available tables are full all additional players will be placed on a wait list. Wait listed players will be seated for the next 60 minutes as players are eliminated.

8. Once all wait list players have been seated or 60 minutes have expired blinds will be raised. After the initial blind raise blinds will be raised every 25 minutes until a $1000/$2000 blind has been achieved. Any raise above $1000/$2000 will be at Dealers discretion.

9. Wait listed players cannot enter the game in a small blind or dealer position they will be required to wait until the small blind/dealer button has passed their position before they can play. The wait list will be closed 30 minutes after the tournament starts.

10. There will be no entry fee for players to enter. No side bets allowed.

11. Be courteous to other players, act in turn, please don’t talk about a hand until the hand is over, be respectful, if you get eliminated from a hand get up smile and tell everyone ‘good game’. This is for entertainment purposes only, some people do get lucky there is no reason to tell them they are a bad player. Everyone can play what ever hand they want to and everyone will sleep better being a good sport. HAVE FUN!
